A much-needed replacement for the old Virgin Blue bunker, the new lounge has room for 300 travellers and a panoramic view over the tarmac. The refurbishment includes clusters of comfortable lounge chairs, a trendy bar area, a self-serve buffet with all-day barista service.

The workbenches include inbuilt USB sockets to charge up smartphones or tablets, alongside the regular AC powerpoints.

The new terminal space also contains Virgin Australia’s invitation-only The Club lounge for Canberra’s politicians and powerbrokers.

WTP provided pre contract estimating services to set the budgets as well as post contract administration services throughout the construction period including monthly progress claim assessments and variation reviews and negotiations.
