WT Partnership was engaged by Racing New South Wales to provide quantity surveying services including financial reporting, cost verification, certification of drawdown claims against Funding Deed and contract administration services during the construction phase of the project.

The objective of the project is to replace and refurbish outdated spectator facilities on the site to secure Royal Randwick Racecourses position as a major cultural and horse racing event destination in NSW and nationally.

The redevelopment will provide state-of-the-art spectator facilities and comprises:

  • New Paddock Grandstand and refurbishment of the existing QEII Grandstand including function spaces, restaurants and corporate boxes;
  • New multi-purpose ‘Theatre of the Horse’ parade ring including Owners Pavilion and horse tunnels;
  • Integrated fitout of the two grandstands and TOTH parade ring including FF&E and specialist equipment; and Demolition of the existing Teahouse and Pavilion buildings including associated site preparatory works, external works, landscaping, temporary and enabling works.
