The Kinghorn Cancer Centre is a major new initiative of the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and St Vincents & Mater Health Sydney (SV&MHS).

The Centre is housed in a new custom-built $140 million building on the St Vincent’s Research Precinct in Darlinghurst, Sydney which comprises St Vincent’s Hospital, the Garvan Institute and the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and the recently funded National Institute of Virology. The precinct will eventually house over 1,000 researchers encompassing all major disciplines essential to solving contemporary problems in medical and health research.

The 20,727 m² GFA building comprises 8 levels plus roof top plantroom and four levels of basement car parking and associated services. The facility consists of Hematology Oncology Ambulatory Care Unit (HOAC); research laboratories; clinical data management and analysis suites; clinical review suites and multidisciplinary meeting rooms, which include high level video and audio conferencing facilities; and patient coordination and clinical services areas.

WT Partnership provided full quantity surveying services comprising order of cost budgets, interim budgets; DD cost plans, DA cost plans; budget cash flows; procurement advice, tender analysis; post contract services comprising audits, progress claim recommendations, cost status reports, final account, and depreciation schedules.
