44 Market Street, Sydney

WT Partnership were engaged by Colliers International on behalf of Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) to provide full quantity surveying services, including cost planning, full tender and post contract administration services through the construction phase for their commercial fit out at 44 Market Street, Sydney.

The project included the construction of the NSW Regional Office of the Australian Bureau of Statistics across 4 floors of 44 Market Street, Sydney.

Construction started in May 2011 and completed on time in September 2011 with ABS moving in immediately after.

The works comprised the fitout of 4 floors including a conference facilities on each floor, secure document handling facility, Change Rooms with showers, Training Rooms and facilities, Boardroom, Social Club, Breakout Spaces and multiple breakout meeting rooms on each floor.

ABS had extensive individual department fitout requirements for each sector of statistics, and extensive security arrangements, which where all linked back to Canberra head office.

The base building had a number of challenges, especially with the requirement of fresh air reticulation into the tenancy, as well as the building undergoing its own internal amenities upgrade.
