WT Partnership undertook full cost management services including feasibility estimates for various options through to final account for the Public Trustee of South Australia’s fit out to 211 Victoria Street in Adelaide.
The development incorporated fit out to three full floors, one half floor and a ground floor shop front encompassing over 3,475 m2 of floor space.
Principles of an open plan office culture were successfully integrated into the design with central ‘hub’ areas that included kitchens/break out areas, quiet rooms and utility areas built into the centre of each floor.
The design adopted by the Public Trustee incorporates clever space planning through the introduction of distinctive lighting, changes to ceiling finishes, and individually designed screens to provide levels of interest within the commercial environment.
The fit out to the new tenancy allowed staff from a number of sites to be housed in one location.
The project has been awarded the 2010 Design Institute of Australia SA Chapter “People’s Choice Award” and the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) Commendation For Interior Architecture.
